Why Learn about Capacity Building

Capacity building is an approach to community work that strengthens confidence, builds skills, increases knowledge, and expands resources. Through capacity building, you and your community partners grow, learn, and change. Because of this emphasis on learning, capacity building approaches to community work are more likely to lead to sustained change in the long term.
